WILLIAMSPORT YOUNG PROFESSIONALS OFF TO A STRONG START IN 2008

WILLIAMSPORT, PA- The Williamsport Young Professionals (WYP) kicked off 2008 with a networking event at B-21 and a professional development seminar: Investing 101 presented by Will Daniels, Merrill Lynch. Young professionals from the Williamsport Area attended both events to either seek professional interaction or gain knowledge on building a professional investment portfolio.

First quarter events for WYP in conjuncture with the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce include Bowling with Big Brothers/Big Sisters at Faxon Bowling Lanes on January 26, The Art of Business Networking on January 29, a networking event at Barrel 135 on February 13, and a PM Exchange at the Community Arts Center on March 13.

Newly elected Chair of WYP, Greg Bell, is excited about the organization’s swift progress in initiating programming at the start of the New Year. “For the past 18 months Williamsport Young Professionals has been gaining momentum, growing in members and planning events. Our organization is moving in the right direction, building relationships with the community and creating a local presence and voice for our members”.
